The #CultureFirst series is a chance to showcase the team here at Culture Amp. We asked everyone a few questions which will give you an opportunity to get to know each of us a bit better.

Culture Amp: What can you do as a CAmper that you haven’t been able to do elsewhere?
Thang Ngo: Working for an Australian startup that is passionate about helping organizations to be culture first. My recent experience with Culture X Design 2016 in Melbourne has given me great insights to how other organizations are feeling and that our people and product offering is making a difference.
CA: Best day you’ve ever had at work (here or anywhere else)?
TN: I'm going to cheat and share two of the best days I've ever had at work. The first one is here with Culture Amp, our recent Culture X Design Unconference Melbourne 2016. It was an amazing event to meet so many people who were passionate about making their organization Culture First! Internally, I was inspired by the commitment and dedication from our CAmpers who made the event successful. My second best day at work was with my last organization, REA Group. I'd always attended a "Hack Day" as a guest but was never game enough to pitch an idea, join a team and work on a project for three days. With the help of my leader at the time, we pitched the idea of giving our careers website a facelift.
CA: What do you geek out about outside from work?
TN: I love my food! Always out and about exploring food adventures.
CA: What did you want to be when you grew up?
TN: Believe it or not. I actually wanted to play cricket professionally. I started playing cricket early and always treated it as a hobby as opposed to a serious sport. I won an indoor championship at one point and decided to retire early.
CA: What is something about you not many people know?
TN: I'm also very passionate about cars and motorsport. I'm serving my third year as vice president for a car club.
CA: What’s on your playlist this week?
TN: Random Spotify channel and stations. Have always been a fan of Miguel.
CA: Where would you go on an all expense paid trip tomorrow?
TN: I just actually came back from San Francisco! I think the next location would have to be somewhere by a beach sipping on endless cocktails.
CA: What does culture first mean to you?
TN: To me, it means we put people first and that we live our values day in day out. It also means being different and unique where other organizations can aspire to be just as amazing.
CA: Do you have any startup / culture idols?
TN: Mark Zuckerberg, for the person he has now become.
CA: What was the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
TN: Make data driven decisions and if that doesn't work, ask for forgiveness later.
CA: If you could have one super power, what would it be?
TN: Being able to fly. Don't need to cape or spandex though.
CA: You pick a magazine up to read – what is it?
TN: Men's Health or Motor Mag.
CA: What’s up next in your Netflix queue?
TN: House of Cards.
CA: If you could be a lead character in a movie, who would it be?
TN: Would love to see what it is like to be Batman!
CA: What was the first and last concert you attended?
TN: First concert was Akon and the last was Justin Timberlake.
CA: If you won the lottery what would you do first?
TN: Donate to a housing charity and then off to the tropical beach with endless cocktails.
CA: Would you take a one way trip to Mars and why/not?
TN: Let me put the data together...
